It started with my walk up to the entrance
and overhearing fans talk about how much they love festivals
like this — ones where they get to hear so many new bands.
"I loved Grace Potter, she was amazing!" I arrived later
than planned, so I missed some early performances by Jessica
Lea Mayfield, Drew Smith's Lonely Choir and Black Tie Dynasty.

The aftermath was evident by the recovering
concert-goers who had partied for two days straight. All
who showed up on day three were there to kick back on their
blankets, soak up some sun and enjoy the music. Those in
need of some repenting could have taken in The Lee Boys
or The Blind Boys of Alabama, who spread the word of gospel
through their music.
